Manned Guarding in operation

Manned Guarding

A visible officer is the cheapest security control you can buy

Cameras record what already happened. An officer at the gate changes what happens next — which is why manned guarding remains the single most effective deterrent on most sites.

Our officers do more than occupy a chair. They control who comes in and out, walk the site to a pattern that is varied rather than predictable, check plant and fire points on the way round, and write it all up before they hand over. You get the deterrent effect during the shift and the evidence trail afterwards.

Cover can be permanent, seasonal, overnight, weekends-only, or arranged around a shutdown. If you are not sure what you need, the site survey usually answers it.

Scope

What the contract covers

Every line below is written into the assignment instructions for your site, so there is no argument later about what was in scope.

Access control

Entry and exit management at gates, receptions and loading bays, with visitor logging, contractor sign-in and vehicle checks where the site requires them.

Patrols to a varied pattern

Internal and external patrols on a schedule that changes, covering perimeter integrity, doors, fire points, plant rooms and known blind spots.

Monitoring and first response

Officers watch CCTV and alarm panels where they are installed on site, and respond to activations to an agreed escalation procedure.

Reporting you can use

Daily occurrence book, patrol timings and incident reports issued on an agreed schedule — the paperwork insurers and clients ask for.

Reception and front-of-house

Where the role is customer-facing, officers are briefed to handle visitors, deliveries and questions without dropping security discipline.

Vacant and void property

Cover for empty buildings and units between tenants, including lock-ups, opening for contractors and squatter deterrence.

How we deploy

From first call to first shift

STEP 01

Site survey

We walk the site with you, note access points, lighting, blind spots and existing systems, and agree what good looks like.

STEP 02

Assignment instructions

Everything from patrol routes to escalation numbers is written down and signed off by you before anyone is deployed.

STEP 03

Officer allocation

We allocate officers by fit, not by whoever is free — and keep the same faces on the site wherever the rota allows.

STEP 04

Live cover and review

Cover starts, reports arrive on schedule, and we review the assignment instructions with you as the site changes.
